Well the French aren’t all bad after all…today
there were no classes because everybody in the Uni went on strike. Why?
Was it the Afghan crisis, world hunger, pollution levels…? No, it was
gypsies.
For some reason a lot of gypsies live near campus and the
students have had enough so they’re forcing them out (I suppose,
although why me not going to class would make a gypsy move ‘house’ I
don’t know)….ANYWAY…
Last night I got quite drunk because George, an Irish guy who also
works at Bar Notre Dame, thought it would be wise to play drinking
games with a bottle of spirits each. I got lucky and got Tequila (not
the 50% rum) but still it was rough and this morning I felt a bit
peaky…
I hate having time limits on the internet…I think I’m going to get a phone line put in my appartment…
Tonight Carla, an Italian girl who speaks better English, French,
Spanish and Italian than me, is cooking me dinner…hopefully I won’t
feel the aftershocks from the Jose Cuervo while I’m at her place!
Well Mr DJ..
Yeah I
did feel like a little bit of a dickhead when I opened my bag to find
the WRONG BOX OF MINIDISCS last night in the bar…luckily we had a
backup load of CDs but it pissed me off. The night went well though,
the bar was rammed from 9.30 till 12.00 and full before and after that.
I can’t wait to get my CDs from home for next semestre’s work there, it
should be pretty sweet…
Oh yeah, then the night went from good to excellent when I went with an
Italian girl and 2 Spaniards (1m 1f) to a bar called ‘Le Vieux Manoir’,
and the night ended extremely strangely when I ended up in a single bed
with a bottle of tequila and two other people…I’ll let your
imaginations do the rest…
I’m going to hopefully watch American Pie 2 tonight with a Canadian
called Zotos (how cool?!?!) and a girl from South America…Full
details to come…
This is so annoying…See I have to buy these
little top up shits for my electricity to continue to function, but as
I am me I kind of forgot and today the lights went out. And the hot
water. And the fridge. Shite. Have to go to some weird place to buy new
ones (and I tried to go today but their offices were shut – 45 minutes
walking well spent)…
Tonight’s the second night DJing in the bar…hope it’ll be good
because last week is a lot to live up to. All drinks are 10francs (6.5
Euros) (1) so expect chaos if it gets busy…
I managed to enrol in an Italian course by convincing the woman that my
French was so bad that I couldn’t understand the word ‘Jeudi’ when she
said that all sign-ups were last week. Sweet.
The cool people at Uni are beginning to show themselves more and
more…and plus my talents are being recognised as they deserve to
be…I was simply walking with a basketball yesterday and a guy stopped
me and asked if I wanted to play for the University team. On further
examination however it isn’t quite as flattering because the team has
about 7 volunteers so far. Oh well…
If I remember anything else I’ll put it here…
Yeah well I don’t like to brag HAHAHAHAHA YEAH RIGHT so I’ve got a job…DJing in a bar. So it’s not
somewhere that’ll be listed in Clubsindex.com just yet but
still it’s a really great place, the staff and boss is(are?) really
cool, and yesterday was the first day – there were probably 150 people
in there listening to me feeding them the classics…’Simon Says’,
‘Forgot about DRE’, ‘It’s Not Unusual’…it was megacool, plus I got
paid!!!!
On the downside of life, we got a bill today (in UK) for
£200 for the old gas bill. Shite. Mike and Amar better take note that
I’m coming for the money…
I’m tired.
Going to the cinema again tonight, but the culture level might be a tad lower than the last visit because:
a) I’ve seen the film before
b) It’s in English with French subtitles
…but still it’s a start, right? RIGHT?
I haven’t seen any news recently, but I’ve started to get some sort of
skin infection and all of my blood’s turned black. I think I might be
coming down with someth…..

…By the way whoever’s in Malaysia looking at the site sure as hell hasn’t emailed me which I think is quite rude…
Well lectures started yesterday – quite apt
considering the bombing started as well…sort of like how my mind is
feeling after a week of straight partying (trans:interacting with the
natives)…Let me also tell you that (although I would never condone
such actions) the French are absolute STONERS. I am not kidding.
Nicole and I went out the other night to town, started talking with a
fat French dude and ended up 45 minutes away in the local
superclub…It’s a shame I destroyed all of my Hard House CDs (ha!) or
I might have enjoyed it more…
We have also been frequenting the London Pub a little too much…a
place where the Brits go who don’t want to speak any French (thus it’s
quite well populated)…
Oh yeah and well done to England the other day…We watched the match
in (where else but) an Irish pub (I nearly puked because the Guinness
tasted like shoe polish)…
WHAT ELSE?!?!
I finally met someone who lives in my hall, Cédric, and he seems like a
pretty cool guy, hopefully he won’t start any funny business like one
of my LAST flatmates (selling crack to kids, mass homicides etc)…
Hope everyone remembers that today is National (Worldwide?) KEEP IT REAL day…
Yo i’m fishin’!!! Check it out here (Sorry…Bad Joke)
Yeah
this cyber-caf is really nice…maybe not somewhere to take over the
entire world, but this rgion will be putty in my hands. My current
p-i-c (Partner In Crime) Joss and I will own this town in roughly 2
days such is the ease with which wehave slipped into life here.
We
went to watch a film last night IN FRENCH. I know, bow down. Actually
(if I can be serious for ONE second please) it was pretty good AND it
helps understand the language in its practical use (EvilOli: And those two honez you were with…)
Dieu est grand, je suis toute petite on IMDB
My first screw up here is forgetting (EvilOli:
For ‘forget’ read: Being a lazy bastard) to get my E128 form from
England (used to be called E111). You kinda need it to get EVERYTHING
which is unfortunate but not deadly, hopefully if my dad’s reading this
(likelihood = 2%), he’ll call up the office in Newcastle and send me a
form. Otherwise, I’ll see you in court, or on Yahoo! news with:
Russian Plane Crash May Be Terrorism
This
cracks me up (not the content, the handling of the event)…Firstly it
*may* be terroism or it may not, but I bet Nottinghan Forest won’t have
a minute of silence before their match pour penser the grief of the
Russian families…
UK campaigners call for anti ‘anti-rip’ CD day of action
- I’ll be there…campaigning against these disgusting hackers who are
ruining the record industry…Oh, it’s pro-hackers…crap…
I need a shower…
That’ll do nicely…
This link is dedicated to Dave…
ASAIRS Case Summaries
This
sort of thing happens in the real world, ok guys? It’s not good, ok
guys? And as you’ll read, just because you take your chicken to a Motel room, it doesn’t make it LEGAL.
Red Rooster Inn, Florida – Is this a bestiality brothel?
(Sorry, bad taste…)
I’ve been reading for the last week
Well i’m in france and nobody warned me about the totally SCREWED
keyboards they have here…Just take the ‘regular’ one (i’m so racist
ha ha ha ha!!!!!!) and then drop and then play musical chairs with the
keys and you’ll be cExercise/”>Lose. Hell.
I must say that Grenoble as a city (or town or whatever) is heavenly.
Imagine the scene: Girls. All hot. Need I continue? (for the ladies
reading this, there’s lots of…errr…horses n stuff…) The weather
is very hot at the moment, sunny all day every day, it’s strange to
write but true…
Ok my appartment: amazing. There’s a big a$$ fridge, two ring hob and
la pice de rsistance…a view of the most beautiful mountains i’ve
ever seen (EvilOli:
STOP NOW FAGBOY!) It rules. My compadres Joss and Nicole are living
about 10 mins away so that’s cool…they took a couple of days to
settle in but now they’re loving it loving it (sorry)…
The uni has next to no computers which is a bit crap – i might get a phone line in my room, not sure how much yet (EvilOli: Why not look here dickead?). Whatever, my doses of cybershite will be less probably…
I was expecting that since I hadn’t seen any news for the last 6 days,
when I looked the war on TeRroRiSm would be over, instead the story was
somewhat similar to EVERY DAY OF THE LAST MONTH, namely that the US is
‘about’ to tell everyone else its evidence re:Bin Laden’s
involvment…and Elvis’s disappearance…Grassy Knoll…Area 51…For
now let’s just concentrate on what we DO know:
Weather Delays Raising of the Kirsk – How bad can the rain be at the bottom of the sea?
Nuclear plant given go-ahead in Sellafield – Can’t wait to come home guys! (EvilOli: Because France has no nuclear aspirations…)
Bush endorses Palestinian State
I love you all!
(EvilOli: And your sisters and mothers…)
