Hello Darling

Well it’s been a weird couple of days…Last
nihgt I was on French TV for 2 minutes, talking about the Le Pen issue
and stuff…very cool…I have it on video too so hopefully i’m going
to be able to bring it home and show everyone my 5(ish) minutes of fame.
Went
to see Freddy Jay again at Systeme last night, it was a bit of a
disappointment after the first time, it wasn’t very well promoted I
don’t think, so the people were’nt as good but it was still great, and
I bought a mixtape made by him which is awesome too so it turned out
cool.
Worked tonight, it was a good night overall….I am just in a
daze after sending off my Warwick essay, I’m so glad I have it out of
the way now. I’ll post it on the site soon so Laura can criticize it
(joke!).

Pen seems to have created a bit of a stir in France. Nanou, the owner
of the bar, reckons it’s huge for society, because now you can really
look people in the eyes and know what they’re thinking. 20% of the vote
went to the extreme right. That’s a lot of hate. French society
(Grenoble society) really does have a problem at present, and I don’t
see it improving. The only way this could be beneficial(sp?) is if it
wakes up the ‘intellectuals’(sp?) of France and makes them stop wafting
on about being the sons of Voltaire and look to the future of their
country which is going downhill fast.

Wow wow wow

What a lot of things happening in the world. War
in the east, war in the west, Sven Goran in the sack with Ulrika…It’s
a funny world.
So the essay got planned today and quotations were
found. Overall I grade myself 6.5/10 for work today….but it doesn’t
matter because I sat in the baking sun and almost went BROWN! I say
almost because i’m still paler than Ali G’s milkman but it’s all good…

round so all’s well with the world tonight…Oh yeah work at Notre Dame
last night was great, lots of people, lots of great music (Got the new
Royce da 5’9″ album and it is BADBOY) and everyone was happy. Which
made me happy. Right.

No Rest For Da Wicked

Well well well as Laura says ‘There’s
no sleeping on an empty chest of gold’ and that’s the rule that i’ve
been living by for the past 2 days…I arrived back in Grenoble after a
tiring day on trains (oh my god Eurostar First Class from Firenze to
Milano was the absolute bomb-diggy and just do it) but also in a
cattle-truck style piece of shit French train whatever) and went oot
into town, had a couple of beers (first for like 1 week) and nearly
fell asleep…saw Mariatzell who was battered (good start) and she was
going out on a big one which pretty much sealed my fate of going
home…EXCEPT…

When I got home (on the first day) i had no electricity and couldn’t
buy any until the day after so i had to stay at Joss’s that
night…ouch…slept really badly on the floor on my shoulder and was
nearly paralysed(sp?) the next day…oh well. So yesterday i was so
busy doing stuff like picking up 2 week old biscuits off my floor and
buying stupid fucking electricity tokens and by midday i needed to sit
and chill so caf�s called….

Last night then continued in an enourmous houseparty double-header
which was brilliant, the first a small affair with good friends and
cheesy 90s music, the second a big house and lots of wasted
stoners…always value for money. I woke up at 1pm, watched the Chelsea
match (joss nearly cried) and then caf�d it again until now…and WORK
tonight for the first time in ages. It’s not so bad. A bit of cash.

Oh shit yeah and I have to do my second essay for Warwick which is a
bit of a downer…for next Friday. I have told myself i will do it
tomorrow and i do seem to be in a motivated mood (i bought a text
yesterday for one of NEXT YEAR’S courses – shit!) so maybe it’ll
happen. Maybe not.

Does anyone know why Al-Faed isn’t allowed British citizenship?

Well that’s odd…at the moment there’s a little
outage at the old Nettyweb cyber cafe, so the computer’s offline while
i write this…hmm…

Today has already been interesting, I bought my train ticket for
tomorrow back to Grenoble (well to Chambery) and I got a different deal
from Mariatzell…I go Florence –> Milan –> Chambery, missing
out Torino and Pisa. Sweet.

because i’ve been spring cleaning it and it now has more than 500 clubs
listed, including the Bora Bora international nightclub in Mombasa,
Kenya. Interesting.

Oh yeah it’s a big downer, but the webcam computer is turned off today
so no more videos, but when I get my new computer soon in summer…I’M
BUYING A WEBCAM! And that’s for definite.

Ok well that’s it, i’m leaving Florence tomorrow
morning and not coming back for the near future (due to my passport
expiring in May)…My thoughts: Come to Florence for 4 days with a
partner…You’ll love it. It is a very romantic place etc etc lots of
history blah blah but just don’t come looking for the 19th Century
because it’s NOT HERE. There are 15 Internet Train brand Cyber Cafes in
this town…I’m just saying…
