Epilepsy - You will not stop until you beat Shona’s score of 323.4 convulsions

Well done to Fiona last night for the biggest piece of meat in the world to celebrate the most irrelevant date in the world’s calendar (except in China). Not being prejudiced against anyone in particular but THE YEAR STARTS IN JANUARY YOU FUCKIN MONKEYS…I can’t decide whether I’m being ironic or not….

What I Do Best

Tuesday, January 20th, 2004

Dear Colleague,

Following on from the December issue of Alliance which focused on governance and accountability, we are now writing to invite you to take part in an online discussion forum entitled ‘Rethinking Accountability’, co-hosted by Alliance and Social Edge.

We will be discussing the following questions:
Are we in a new era of scrutiny in the social sector, and if so, what does it mean for us?
What can the corporate and NGO sectors learn from each other?
How do we construct the link between performance, resourcing and accountability in the social sector?
Contributors to the debate will include:

* David Bonbright, Director, Civil Society Programmes with the Aga Khan Foundation (Switzerland)
* Barbara Kibbe, Vice President, Skoll Foundation
* Kumi Naidoo, Secretary General, CIVICUS
* Peter Reynard, Editor, Accountability Forum
* Jan Masaoka, Executive Director, CompassPoint
* Peter Shiras Senior Vice-President, Independent Sector, USA
* Simon Zadek Chief Executive, Accountability
* Marilyn Wyatt, Consultant Specialist in Nonprofit Governance
* Woodrow W. Clark II, Author of “Corporate Governance: the Enron fiasco in America”

The debate is in progress and will continue for a further two weeks. To contribute to the debate or to read what is being discussed, click here now: http://skoll.socialedge.org/?14@@.ee82e50

Weekend of Blizzle

Tuesday, January 20th, 2004

Last weekend was my last weekend of bling, I’m sorry, it was fun while it lasted….but that’s it. Big thanks to Jyrki, Jme, Dalan, Fiona, the other one, Fiona’s sister, The Equal Opportunities Working Group, Zahra, Boz, Famous Neil, Colonel Sanders and the many others that made the weekend so great…But the ice is going to be put away now and I am going to curl up in a ball with 8 episodes of Naruto and sleep tonight…oh yes…

Anti-Diet Schemes
This weekend everyone went big, and a big ‘Well Done’ to Jme who, although it seemed he may be falling off the wagon, came through by eating spaghetti bolognese for BREAKFAST (yeah bitch you read that right) on Saturday…KFC was the venue on Saturday night and believe me the Col. was a little bit richer (financially) and poorer (chicken-wise) when we left. Holla…
